Visual.ly is exactly what it’s name implies. It is about creating unique and definable visuals with your online presence. And yes, this is something that I regularly talk about from my online digital strategy plan – including using visuals in your content (Frame #2 – Content Planning), as well as creating a wide array of branded visuals (Frame #4 – Video & Visuals).
It’s no wonder that other social networks based on visuals are in fact storming online – we are decidedly visual and love to see rather than read. Perhaps it is because we are lazy, or just love pictures? Who knows. But everyone loves to see and share these – if they are created properly.
Whatever the reason, visual.ly has what it takes to create interesting and effective visuals and more specifically, infographics. Yes, we have seen them all – those fancy pictures that are more than just a selfie, but that detail how many people post selfies, what the favourite type of selfie is, what is the most popular selfie pose, blah blah blah. The point is (beyond taking selfies), is that it is about visualization of your data, that makes the pictures so interesting. And you don’t even have to have a PhD in economics and statistics or a degree in visual design to make something interesting that connects with your business and your audience.
The nice thing is that not only can you create the designer infographics by hand here, but you can also share them amongst the community – a great place to get some of yours picked up by like minded thinkers.
Go out, be free and draw and share more infographics! Your audience will thank you!

What Exactly is the Entrepreneur Online 365 Day Social Media Content Challenge? Every day, for 365 Days (Starting January 1, 2014), we will be researching, reviewing, reading and writing about all of the different social media channels that exist online. We’re mapping the social side of the internet, and how to maximise it for entrepreneurs and businesses. It is not just about social media, however. It is all about connecting and communicating with each other in the online environment, and the content that we develop to get there. It is about the tools that we need to grow our own businesses. Every day we will be investigating a new, specific avenue that allows us to join in on the conversation, connect and communicate, based on our interests, ideas, philosophies, attitudes and behaviours. At the end of the year, you will have an amazing new and clear idea as to what the “real” online community really looks like, and how you can make it work more effectively for your own audience and your own business.
